My research, at the intersection of remote sensing, machine learning, and land surface modeling seeks to gain a more comprehensive understanding of current and future climatological changes in Earth’s remote polar and alpine regions.

I am currently a postdoctoral scholar in the Remote Sensing and Data Assimilation group at KU Leuven in Belgium. In my current position, I study seasonal snow in the European Alps using microwave satellite imagery, machine learning, and data assimilation.

I completed my PhD at the University of Colorado at Boulder in the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Science (ATOC).  During my PhD I  used a variety of tools including climate and snow models, field and satellite observations, and machine learning to explore meltwater on Earth's ice sheets.
